Just got into charcoal Dec ‘21 (PBC)
fav is brisky. Love Turkey on PBC. also Turkey in the glass,(any nice bourbon)
Bud has always been my barley pop.
Been smoking a handful of years, just got serious in the last two or three years. Thanks to AR n @glemn picked up an SnS Kamado for appx 1/3 price of new. I dont think he used it twice. Love AR! keep calm n smoke on! Miss you Bonesy.
Kim bought me a Solo Stove, I guess it has been two years ago.
Five inches wide n six inches tall. I burn sticks or pellets. If I fill it with only pellets, it will burn for the most part of an hour.
We used it inside a canvas gazebo right up to the first hard freeze. Nice play toy. I built a stand for it and it is quite the conversation starter.
Mebe $60 or there abouts. Couple of years ago.
Andrrr It is a very tiny fire n virtually smoke free. I do not have a pellet stove. Just the Solo Stove. Yes they are easy and nearly ashless. If I want aromatics I will burn some Cherry or some Cedar.
This thread forced me to Ace Hardware today. A Mesa XL followed me home. Found an 8 inch diameter Lodge trivet, which must have come in a dutch oven. It fits just right on top. This little rig will be a searing machine. 800 to 950 degrees F per IR gun. A half inch of pellets burned about 30 minutes, with a quick start way faster than a chimney. Powdercoated version, $100.

I really would like the large one of these, but if I do I think I will set it in a shallow pit so when you're sitting around it you feel the heat on your legs. The downside, to me, of tall sidewalls on firepits is it blocks so much warmth when you want to feel it. It all goes upward. But if you're not needing the warmth, say on a warm summer evening, then they sure are purdy.
I have a Breeo with the grate outpost and a metal cover. I put the lid on the cooking grate and raise/lower to serve as a heat deflector. Works fairly well.
I enjoy my bonfire a lot. It lives in my camper mostly. Toss my spare kettle grate on it and use that instead of the campground provided diaper incinerators

Just looked at the box yesterday and it’s the bonfire we have. This year’s the year! I was alive during two snow events here in the valley in ‘85 and ‘90. It’s about time we have another one.
