Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

Ninja FlexFlame Review, by Max Good

Ninja claims their FlexFlame does it all. After some hand wringing we settled on a rating for this wild looking, multi-function gasser. Find out what that rating is.
Jerod Broussard Like all the reviews they are in-depth and if anyone is interested in the cooker, it should give them the information they need to make a decision. I read this one out of curiosity knowing that I really would not be interested in purchasing.
Thank you, Max, for the very thorough review. I am surprised though that a cooker that can't smoke gets a "Gold Medal" rating? I think that members of this forum mostly smoke and grill their meats. But not many will be interested in a cooker that is advertised as both a smoker and a grill but can't really smoke. The convection cooking capability is interesting but not a deal maker by itself. And the tiny pellet capacity is a deal breaker all by itself.
Hence the hand wringing over the award. I consulted my colleagues and we weighed pros and cons. Ultimately the convection fan pushed FlexFlame across the Gold line. This is a good gas grill with the unique ability to effectively do pizzas with no accessories other than a pizza stone. It creates even heat and crispy chicken skin. Smoke performance is weak, but better than other gas grills with smoke tubes, boxes and pouches.
I know this thread has been out there a while. I recently ran across some videos from Tom Horsman on this cooker. It really is amazing what this thing can do. Might not give a great smoke profile, but for folks who really don't care much about smoke it really is versatile.
