Since it has no battery… no backlight, difficult to clean, only a 15 second run time after opening and then you must open and close to generate more power…. and the unit failed? I understand occasionally units might fail, but I’m just wondering why the thermometer was even given a bronze star? I’m not sure a product like this is even needed, as mentioned, the batteries in these things typically last a few years before needing replacement. Too many negatives for me.
