Phantom is a relatively new line, based on Napoleon's popular Prestige Series gas grills, with some important upgrades and an unusual, attractive black matte finish that embodies its name. When Phantom appeared, it immediately created buzz. Did Phantom live up to our expectations? Yes and no. Read our review to learn more.

One thing I cannot stand is a frustrating assembly experience, and it sounds like this one takes the cake. It's a good thing Max had this one for review and not me!
Do they offer it in a built-in option so the cart can be avoided completely? Or would it easily go onto an alternate surface? We put my Pit Boss Ultimate griddle on a rolling stainless table I liked better than their cart.
Jim White Napoleon offers a natural gas version but no drop in. Napoleon does offer outdoor kitchen components and one could always have an island custom made. The grill head and IR side burner are separate components, so you'd have to take that left side shelf into account. But it looks like you have to purchase it as a freestanding model regardless. The whole thing came in one, large box.
I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
Yes, Max Good I see how that would be the case. On my Pit Boss, it also all came as one and in phone conversations they would comment on whether this would actually work, but I'm very happy with the rolling table coupled with pull-out cabinet for the propane tank. It looks really sharp in my outdoor kitchen and much more integrated than their cart.
Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Despite the Arthur Murray dance step chart for instructions it seems like a nice cooker. However, there are a lot of things I'd fork over $2 Grand for, but a gas grill ain't one of them.
I picked up a Prestige 500 during the black friday discounts. Haven’t tried to put it together yet but hopefully it’s smoother than your experience with the Phantom…
The picture with the door off brought back memories of the first Weber grill that I bought and put together. After a few years, I couldn’t keep the door on for the life of me. Kind of reminded me of a child with a missing front tooth.
$2000 Loonies for those directions would probably result in me smashing something and giving new meaning to “breaking it in.” I can’t stand lousy directions. Thanks for taking one for the team.
My dealer included assembly of my Prestige Pro 500 but so far it’s been solid. One of the reasons I chose the Pro over the regular model was because the build quality and hardware for the doors was significantly better.
