Top to bottom, there is so much to love about the Louisiana Grills Founders Legacy 1200 pellet cooker. It starts with the attention to every last detail like the inclusion of a griddle plate and ends with what I consider to be one of the best high heat searing setups I have experienced on a pellet cooker. The company also sells the slightly smaller Founders Legacy 800.

I tried to find what kind of ignitor it uses. The User Guide doesn't show it even in the electrical assembly diagrams. Is it a glow plug type, or something like MAK's Flashfire type? I'm also surprised they don't make an easy way to sweep out the ash from the main barrel area. A simple trap door or whatever.
Otherwise, it looks like a very impressive pellet pooper!
Pretty satisfied with the MAK and not a fan of Pit Boss at all. IMO, this looks cheap for its price outside of the grates. That controller looks goofy, the probes look like the same $2 probes you get with a $400 Pit Boss. The slide knob is probably going to become a pain to work over time, the fold down display cover looks like it’s just waiting to get snapped off and I’m not a fan of grease buckets. Dogs and pests knock them off all the time.
like the probe display says... nope nope nope. at least at the price point. The Weber is awesome because you can grill on the whole surface, the MAK is awesome because you can kinda grill on the whole lower surface. All these other slide and grill designs you're limited to the surface area just above the firepot.
Interested to see what this final product does, right now it seems intended as a budget competitor to the Yoder offerings but at nearly the same price point? Does have a few add ons
