If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I don't have time to comment on much just now, but will say that USABLE side shelfs that don't melt and burn things would be a big plus. My Camp Chef puts so much heat out to each end that you can't put much on 4 to 5 inches of the side shelves next to the unit, as otherwise it MELTS or bursts into flame from all the heat boiling out each end of the burner box. I need to take a photo of my spatulas, which I still use, with deformed handles. I was USING one just this past week while doing fried rice, and set it down for a couple minutes only to pick it up and burn my hand as the melting plastic came off on my hand. The Camp Chef and the Blackstone spatulas need heat resistant handles! At least when I get hold of them....
Anyway, I'll read the review and post more thoughts later. Night all!
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

Great review. If only there was an NG model/ conversion kit. I loathe propane tanks and we put in a gas line when we redid the patio. I don’t mind the price point: it’s Traeger after all and they’ve been upping their game the last few years with higher priced cookers.
I have a Steelmade insert for my genesis. It’s good; not great. I’m afraid to show this review to my 13 year old son because this is what he wanted me to buy.
And for those interested in more than one point of view, Neal has tested and used both the Traeger and Weber on his YT channel, also under the Flat Top King name. He has high praise for both.
