Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

These are fantastic instant read thermometers, especially great if your budget (or the chief financial officer of your household) doesn't quite allow a Thermapen purchase. Larger screen than the original ThermoPop, auto-rotation, auto-on/off, backlight- just great. They make great gifts too.

I have an original ThermoPop and it has served me well for years. I would buy this in a heartbeat, if I didn't have two ThermoPro's already. I'll get the v2 if mine ever dies, because it fits nicely in my knife block where the sharpener used to live.
