The ThermoPro TempSpike II is a dual-probe version of the previously reviewed TempSpike. The dual version comes with a charging cradle that also displays the temperature of each probe’s sensors while extending the range between the probe and the device running the app.

Big sale on their website https://buythermopro.com/twin-tempspike/
Was $199 but with discount it is it will be $104. Click on the "Shop Now" and it adds discount to your Amazon account so when you go to check out the Amazon price of $149.99 is reduced to $104. When I did it it showed that the discount code was only available until 8/3/2023 11:59PDT. Mine is schedule to be here by 7/31/2023.
Also, looks like if you purchase one, you can go back and do it again to add another discount to your Amazon account for another Thermopro.

ThermoPro said I could share the discount code on the website. I did not see an expiration date, but the offer is only good for U.S. A. customers. Discount code: 3047683G
Below Zero Smoker Good. That is also the code that was added to my order automatically when I clicked on their site. It won't let me use the code again though. Just checking to see if you could do it more than once. I already received the probes but haven't used them yet. Hopefully will use them this weekend.
Thanks for the product update. I'll admit I've remained cautiously optimistic on the wireless probes on the market these days. But at the discounted price and the ability to monitor the ambient temps and protein temps with one probe, I am so close to pulling the trigger on this.
One area I'd like to hear feedback on, should anyone have first hand knowledge, what is the "refresh rate" on the temperature measurements? I've grown accustomed to my Thermoworks Smoke probes and enjoy the accurate and real-time temperature swing that it provides.
I used mine for the first time this weekend - on brisket. To answer your question, base unit refreshes at least every two seconds, and it bumped it to the app on my phone almost immediately. I don't think there was more than a five second delay...
However, I only got about 14 hours out of the one probe before the battery died. I'm quite certain I had them fully charged.
Never once did I have an issue with the bluetooth disconnecting. I never tried to go to the 500' range - still worked well.
Still, i really enjoyed the experience. I've never had a wireless set before. It showed a cool graph of the cook - including ambient temps and meat temps. The last hour of the cook I paid attention to the time remaining, as I set my target meat temp to 203.
The biggest complaint I have, is that the cooking history graph disappeared, so I don't have a record of it. Might have been user error but I believe it also might be because the battery died in one of the probes.
UncleSpike Thank you very much! Very helpful and sounds encouraging. Sorry to hear about the battery life on the brisket cook.
My only other hesitation is incorporating my phone with an app. It may sound silly in this day and age, but when I cook on my grills, I certainly enjoy the analog experience of it all - even though I have traditionally used radio frequency remote thermometer.
I got the Temp Spike II and I am not too much of a fan, honestly. I find it slow to update -- by the time it says it has hit my target temperature my ThermoPro One shows the meat is over. I keep the booster four feet from the oven, I'm never more than 40 feet from the booster.
I suppose I'll get used to the updating delay, but I'm sorry I bought it and much prefer my Fireboard 2, which even though it's wired has the added benefit of unlimited range by virtue of its WiFi capability. It's also just $50 more than the TempSpike II, even though I note the TempSpike has been available at a steep discount.
I'll stay with it, but I'm disappointed and I don't think I would have given this a Gold Medal. I think there's still work to be done on wireless temperature probes before they can equal the flexibility and reliability of wired ones.
