My New Santa Maria Grill

I recently started a post about Santa Maria grills and got a lot of great feedback. Thanks everyone.
As it turned out I opted not to go with the Titan one but one I found on ETSY.
It’s being built as we speak and Cody, the guy who is making it for me, sent me a couple of pics of his progress. Now before you get to to see the goods let me tell you a little bit about Cody.
I first contacted him after seeing his grill on ETSY. He responded back to me very quickly. We soon had a couple of phone conversations about what I wanted and he was super easy to talk with and very accommodating to what I wanted. Cody is very friendly and seems extremely easy going. Almost like we’ve known each other for years.
I would have to put him on par with or even easier to talk with than Chris from LSG. That says a lot in my book.
Anyway, enough gibberish for now 😂
I will add more pics as he sends them to me. And then again when I get this new rig with a review of it.

Me too. Oh yeah. Mike, how do you like the tension type of raising mechanism on yours?

Mine is just a simple spindle that winds up some thin cable. There's a spring tensioner on the end, but I've never had to mess with it.

Great news and it looks like you found a good craftsman on Etsy.
I ordered a custom built piece of furniture from Etsy and the craftsman was fantastic, super communications and superb craftsmanship.
Unfortunately an order from another guy, luckily for a much less expensive piece, was terrible and most of our communications was him delaying and self excusing his lack of performance.

Congrats Steve! There’s been a lot of interest in those things around here lately. You’re gonna have fun with that! Did he give you an estimated delivery date?

He said about 2 weeks build time and around 1 week for delivery. So with any luck I’ll get it in 3 weeks from now. 🙏🏻
