Nothing makes me want to clean out my spice cabinet and start over from scratch more than reading a cookbook.
D'ya get much use/inspiration from Sauces?
-
Potkettleblack, I've barely cracked it open. Someone from this site recommended it to me when I first joined two years ago. I bought it and then spent two years scouring the internet for recipes. That and the Italian one (2 books below) need my attention. How about you? Do you love it?
-
I love the Silver Spoon. That one I've cooked a few things out of, and find inspiration for others.
I've had Sauces for a few years and don't think I've gotten more than 10 pages deep in it.

OUTDOOR COOKERS
BBQ ACCESSORIES
WOOD & PELLET PREFERENCES
SOUS VIDE
INDOOR COOKWARE
I'm going to gather my cook books and take a picture later tonight, they're all over the place. One thing I did see over and over was that Steven Raichlen book on Grilling. Mine has literally fallen apart from over use. I also have that Fish cookbook and the Batali one as well. Guess all geniuses think alike hey JCBBQ ......
One other thing I will mention, although I love the tactile feel of a good book, both my Meathead and Franklin books are on my Kindle. In fact the greater majority of my recipes are digital or on various websites. Easier for me to organize. I also have the Food Network and Master Cook apps, easy go to for quick recipe ideas. I know there is blow back to joining the digital age but I find I go to the book collection less and less as time goes on.

I don't do much paper;
Smoke and Spice by Cheryl & Bill Jamison
Meathead, by Meathead Goldwin on kindle
AR (of course)
Google
About 90% of the time if I have a piece of meat to cook, and one of Meathead's recipes doesn't turn my crank, I google it.
Just browse through the recipes and see what looks good. Lots of good stuff out there. (as well as a fair amount of crap) Kind of like a bbq treasure hunt. If something is a home run, add it to favorites!

Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Funny how sometimes you think, "I need to reply to that topic," and then never get too it!
I added a storage cabinet to the deck, and collected all the cookbooks I could find and put them there. I have maybe five or six more around the house somewhere, and a dozen or so chili cookbooks as well. I also have a couple dozen on the Kindle (including Meathead in digital!)
Maybe 15 years ago or so I got rid of a lot of cookbooks that we just didn’t have space for. I don’t have any regrets, other than it is hard for me to get rid of books. But books are collections of information, and the value of information is transient.
