Maybe an inventory list on your phone will help, but behold the power of cheese.

Ships on 11/4, cheese opening day! My cheese drawer is bigger than all the photos posted. My particular favorite is Danish Havarti from the fancy cheese cooler at WM.

My MSU cheese delivery was two days ago. I got the "cannon ball" edam and the Vallagret per your recommendation, CandySueQ .

I was a little alarmed that they arrived in regular packaging--not an ice pack in sight. So I called the MSU Cheese Line and asked to speak to a supervisor, since the kid who was manning the phones that day was pretty quick with the "I'm just a student" line to dodge my queries. The supervisor assured me that this type of cheese can remain at room temperature for 7-8 days, and that's why they ship in November, not the summer months. So, having my food safety worries dispelled, I popped them in the fridge for future enjoyment.

If I hadn't just hosted Book Club at my house on Monday with a bevy of appetizers (several of them involving cheese chunks or dips) and wine and have to whittle down the leftovers, I would have been into those MSU cheeses as soon as they came out of the package.

Thanks again for the tip, CandySue.

Looks like our cheese drawer too. Wife & I really like BellaVitano gold, the kind that's like a parmesan, has these kinda crystals in it. Great stuff. Raclette is another one we love if we can find it. I also like Kraft American slices, so I'm all over the board with my love of cheese.

STEbbq It's my #1 burger cheese. More specifically I like the Deluxe version, the non-individually wrapped ones. The generic store versions of the Deluxe slices is $2-3 cheaper per pack, and 100% as good, so that is specifically what I use. I love them as a snack.

We get the wrapped slices and the Deluxe slices too. Usually it is one or the other depending on what the store has at the time. I agree both are very good. I use them on burgers and almost exclusively for grilled cheese though I will mix American and provolone for the same sandwich.

Oh man, when I make a cheese plate I include Velveeta. That stuff is legit good.

If you love American cheese, look for Cooper Sharp. It’s American cheese with a little cheddar snap to it. Great burger and sandwich cheese.

We headed to west of Cleveland today for an early dinner of snow crab legs. On our way back we stopped at a Trader Joe’s and I left there with $40 of cheese. I’m actually surprised I didn’t buy more.

I'm beginning to think I may have a dried chile problem. I keep running out of new places to store them...
