    Tuffy Stone's coffee-rubbed cowboy steak recipe

    Anyone ever tried this? https://tuffystone.com/blogs/recipes...-cowboy-steaks.​ Looks good but would be great to hear from anyone who's tried it.

    Never made this particular recipe, but when I do a coffee rub, I use instant espresso instead of ground coffee to cut down on any grittiness

      I haven't tried his. I'll give it a go and compare it to the one I make. Recipe below.

      Coffee rub
      Here's my recipe;

      1 Tbs. finely ground espresso coffee beans
      1 Tbs. pure ancho chile powder
      1 tsp. natural cocoa powder
      1 tsp. granulated garlic
      1/2 tsp. ground cumin
      1/2 tsp. brown sugar
      1/2 tsp. ground fennel seed
      1/8 tsp. ground allspice
      4 tsp. kosher salt
      2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

        Haven’t tried it either, but have used coffee in rubs & always go with instant. I just have this mental thing about chewin grounds.
