Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.

Looking further, into the directions, this sauce was most likely presented as part of a page on smoked turkey, which would have been a completely outrageous idea for most of the USA in 1981, although certainly not in Texas then, and absolutely not anywhere in the USA now. So celery seed would move this ever so slightly toward the savory side of things, making it perfect for the big bird. Bacon and onion means use or freeze this one within a week!

I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
An additional effect for celery seed is that it brings nitrites into play and could well enhance the smoke ring while bringing hints of curing the meat.
