OK, I am finding this a little weird. Huskee, delete this if I sound wrong, and locua704, sincere apologies if I am off base here, but are you a Traeger plant? I only ask because you just joined, your only posts are in this thread, and you used the words
    beautiful designing and wonderful features
in your Traeger description. Sounds kind of like a sales ad to me. But like I said, Huskee, please delete this if I have overstepped (please don't kick me out though), and I apologize to locua704 if I am wrong.

I personally am not a Traeger fan; I have a Scout model that is pretty useless, and I feel like Traeger sold me a bill of goods when I bought it. Partly my fault too for not doing due diligence, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe that explains my attack post

ItsAllGoneToTheDogs I noticed the mention of the hopper size as well and just dismissed it thinking maybe things have changed since I've been out of the pellet game for over a year.

      Hi, Spacecase! I am not a bot. I don't know about locua704.

Hahahahahaha. The collapsing comments almost got me. I thought miaolivia was calling YOU a spacecase and then I looked up and saw a member named spacecase replied.

One thing I notice is different grills are compared to Traeger. But they not compare to Traeger's Timberline. I find that interesting. But the timberline is pushing $2k. Before I judge the warranty (3 vs 6 yrs) I would read the small print of both warranties.

If you had used, can you please tell me in detail about these grills?

A Rec Tec is a Rec Tec and they are great. The Traegers, you have to be specific and imo it has to be and Ironwood or a Timberline to compete. I feel Timberlines win that comparison but they are expensive the Ironwood is a fair comparison.

Great. Going to read more reviews about both these grills.

Thanks Everyone! I had read reviews of all you guys. As we know that latest model had come in market so it is very difficult to find best pellet grill between [link removed by Huskee] brands. However, I had read reviews on Google also about these two brands and come to know that Rec Tec grills are bit better than Traeger grills. Now, I am going to buy grill that lies under $500. It is just testing for me as I am newbie so I will practice myself first. This time I am going to check Rec Tec Brand. Wish me Good Luck. Thank You Community.

RT doesn't have a model under $500 US, well it has the bullseye but not sure on it's smoking ability as it's primary function is as a grill. Use the reviews on the free side to narrow down choices in your price range. https://amazingribs.com/ratings-revi..._value%5B%5D=3

I will check, if I got under this budget then well and good but if budget lies between 500-800$ then somehow I will also try to buy.

RT 340 if you want a rec tec on the lower end of your budget 599

The Camp Chef Woodwind is very comparable with way more capacity than the rec tec 340 and would fit at the top of your budget at 800

Good luck. As mentioned before, I am not a Traeger fan, but I met a BBQ restaurant owner that used Traeger for her business. I never ate there, but she said the Traegers made great food. I have talked to Traegers customer service, and even though they did not solve my problem, they were very polite and truthful.

EveryonePLEASE avoid clicking links posted by brand new Free Trial members. Many spammers will join as a Free Trial member, and some are decent at disguising their efforts by starting a conversation, in this case even starting a conversation with another brand new Free Trial member, whether it's actually the same person or not who knows. They're not always bots, sometimes they're real people. Sometimes they'll even add an avatar pic to blend in and seem legit.

Please don't click their links. You run a risk every time you do.

If a free trial member joins, and all they talk about is one particular brand or one particular item, then there's a link, red flag!

We try to find them and remove the links but some slip through the cracks. At the very least hover over a link you're unsure about, and see what URL pops up so you know where you're going.

Maybe raywjohnson can come up with something that keeps trial members from posting links?

mgaretz Yes, we agree and we've been talking about it for some time now. Trouble is, it's not as easy as it sounds due to how the Usergroups here are made up. And, more pressing issues, so it's on the back burner.

klflowers my guess would be nothing, this person keeps reposting the same hyperlink. Thankfully Huskee has helped them find somewhere else to hunt for clicks.

Yeah, I just saw banned spammer, ItsAllGoneToTheDogs. When I first saw the initial post I was a little suspicious, but being the all around great guy that I am, I tried to help.

By the way, I keep telling my wife what an all around great guy I am but she ain't having it.

klflowers when you figure it out, help a brother out. I'll do the same if I figure it out before you

Well, this fake Free Trial member didn't heed my warnings that we won't allow any more spam links and just couldn't help themselves. (Lot of 'can't help themselves' going around unfortunately). They have been banned as a spammer.

If anyone wants to continue talking the differences between the 2 cookers, by all means please do. If not then this topic will fade away.

had a chat with themselves, constantly asked or answered questions with an embedded link to a BS review site. Less obvious than the fingernail spammer but still spidey sense worthy for some
