My grill is ready to ship.
Unfortunately I dropped my sled trailer on my foot a month ago, crushing a few toes, so my original plan to pick it up in NY and cross the border myself isn't likely. The cast is too big to drive well and I'm probably back in for another surgery in the next few days so I don't want to have it shipped until I can at least answer the phone reliably.

I'm now looking for shippers that will bring it to my door. So much paperwork to cross the border because of the size, it's considered commercial.

I'm so close!!! I should be cooking Christmas turkeys on it

Maybe he can have it dropped off at your place and then pick it up from your place when he heals. I think you using it for 10-15 cooks in Buffalo first would be good payment.🙂

I've found a broker that will only charge $75 fee, plus whatever taxes! I am waiting for confirmation on Monday from a shipper, but I've started to look up U-ship. That's a great idea that I'd never heard of!

Finally out of the hospital and surgeries, and my cast is off. My grill will ship Monday and arrive nearby Friday. I'll pick it up about an hour away from me on Saturday. Should be just enough time to season it and get one test cook before the Christmas turkey goes on

Today's been a good day. Smoker shipped, cast off and pins pulled from my foot, and I got paid!
Here's hoping my wife's in a great mood tonight so I can call it a perfect day

My grill has arrived at the local depot. The uship guys were amazing, and cheapest by far!

Just hooked up the trailer and will get it in a few hours. Just in time to season and try one cook before the turkeys!
