I smoked and seared a pork tenderloin for my troubles. Although initially frustrated, I am super pleased with the performance and results.

All's well that ends well. It's good to hear that your LSG is working well. How did you determine that the wires were crossed?

I'm thinking about a Smokefire sometime in the future. I take it you're not too happy with yours?

Oh, and sorry for picking your brain before extending a welcome to The Pit. You'll like being here.

Hello! Thank you. I pulled off the panel and started tracing wires. It was relatively easy to determine, as LSG did a great job labeling the wires. I took a picture and emailed it to LSGs owner just to verify.......he confirmed the connectivity was incorrect. As far as the Smokefire is concerned, I don't dislike it, I became soured on it when it was down for 45 days due to the auger motor dying, 3 igniters burning out, and one fan dying. To Webers' credit, they did send a tech out to replace....

Thanks for the additional information, Saltman . Sounds like you had your fair share of aggravation and then some with the Smokefire. Hope it's nothing but smooth sailing from here on out with your new LSG. It's a marvelous beast.

Starting to get into the swing of things. Smoking seventy-five pounds of pork shoulder for my daughters high school graduation celebration.

That’s quite the celebration. Glad you’re finally up and running after all the aggravation from the crossed wires. Best of luck and congrats on your daughter’s graduation.
