Last Friday, I received a phone call notifying me my 42" LSG Pellet Smoker is ready for crating. Does anyone have a timeframe from crating to shipping?

Things just got real? I received the "Your Smoker Has Shipped" email earlier today. Can anyone recommend a cover beside the one identified on the LSG site?

Thank you, Steve! I hope the trip from Conroe, Texas, to Oklahoma City, doesn't take too Long. My 18-year-old daughter is graduating from high school, and we are throwing a shing ding for her. Supposed to be 50-75 people, and I plan on doing pulled pork.

Congrats on the new cooker. The LSG covers are nice but very expensive. I have a 20x42 stick burner and I have been using motorcycle covers designed for touring bikes. Amazon has numerous on that will fit, and most are under $50. They certainly are not the same quality as the LSG cover, but they will do the job for a year or so and at the price it is not a big deal to swap one out for a new one.

Apologies in advance for length:
I ordered my LSG offset with the "off-road" wheel package, only because there was no way I was getting it into the backyard without those fat wheels. On delivery day, the driver set it down in the driveway and he was about as excited as I was.
We both started prying off the crate pieces, then a "pop" sound, followed by an unholy hissing. Turns out the crating guys accidentally shot a nail through the 2x4 straight into one of the tires below the firebox. We looked at each other and both said the same bad word at the same time.
Rushed through the rest of the de-crating and ran that 2200+ lb beast across the lawn, through some cruelly soft sand and got it where it needed to be. The pierced tire was half-flat when we were done.
I thought for sure I was going to have 2 heart attacks and a stroke. The driver was half my age, and way skinnier than me, and he laid down on his back for a good 10 minutes, breathless. Of course my wife was videoing (no I will not share) and laughing her a** off.
Admiring our work, the driver said, "that was totally worth it, this thing is gorgeous." I tipped him roughly one mortgage payment and he went on his way. Sent an email to Amber (Chris’s wife) and relayed the story (with far less drama than here). She thanked me for letting them know, apologized, and said we’re sending a new tire. No further questions, no nonsense about receipts or pictures, I was pretty happy.
A few days later I received a whole new wheel - rim & tire, fully inflated. Went from pretty happy to super impressed. I’d say they have a customer for life.
Hope your delivery is less exciting than mine, but know that if anything goes south, they will make it right. Congrats!
epilogue - 2 years later, I could not be more pleased. Absolutely love the thing.
