Good question, Mike. Who knows when they damaged it, but it’s been on the road for five days. If they’d communicated with Grilla I’d have the replacement on the way. Maybe.

Good question. The better question is why was it shipped FedEx. I have a Silverbac and it came on a truck...

Geez, just because there's a drawing of a gorilla on the box doesn't mean the delivery folks should toss it around like they are gorillas.

Hope it all works out. And quickly.

Reminds me of the old TV commercial which showed a traveler's suitcase being put on the conveyor belt only to see it being thrown around by a gorilla after it was out of site.

OMG! That’s just amazing that they even delivered it. Criminal. Well, best of luck with it. Hopefully Grilla will get heavily involved and quickly!

They just deliver so you can reject it, used to happen all the time. Sorry you have to go through this, hopefully they can get a replacement out immediately.

Damn Sid! I’m with the others, I’ve never seen any kind of a package delivered with that much damage! I can clearly see a dent in the top photo to the right of the bolt hole. Sorry to see that happened. Let us know the final outcome.

Ouchy. Coincidentally, my Chimp was delivered with similar, but less severe damage. Huge gouges in the box, as if it got in a fight with a forklift. Astonishingly, the damage didn't actually hit the metal on mine.

I feel decently confident Grilla will make things right.

          "decently confident"? I guess that’s semi-reassuring šŸ˜‰.

Sorry. Wow, how disappointing. The good news is once you get a non-damaged one I think you will love that cooker. I love mine.

I’m counting on it. You wrote the free side review, correct?

Sid P Yessir. And despite my own fault with the auger seizing up about 4 times over the years now, it has been a great trouble-free cooker. The only problems I've had were my own fault. But I can tell you exactly how to free the auger should it happen to you. My advice is don't leave pellets in it in wet or damp weather, run 'em out of the auger, not just the hopper. Trust me.

Looks like the American Tourister gorillas now work for FedEx.

Too bad the smoker wasn’t packed in that suitcase instead of a box

That's really bad. Have you contacted Grilla?
