ID:	642040 In the next month or two this area will become my new 18’ x 16’ Bad-A** low-tech 1960’s space-age grilling pad where special people in my life will gather, drink an ale and a bourbon neat mixed in with an Ashton or 2. Can’t wait for the transformation. It will be great days in the neighborhood!

Looks like fun. Make it big enough to hold cookers you don’t even own yet

Some new seating has been ordered. Slab hopefully will be poured in the next few weeks. May add an outdoor bar. Plenty of room for lots of ideas. Hell, it’s about the size of the Master BR. Maybe I’ll add a bed.

Sounds great! If I built something like that it would have to withstand 16 pounds per square foot of snow load.

Snow shouldn’t be a problem. Grills? Maybe 😎

Good plan. Pretty cool. One thought though. Why wait? Have 'em all over anyway while you progress.

I suppose we could sit out there and pretend a while. Family reunion coming up in May so I’m anticipating it will be well visited.

I don't know what an Ashton is but I'd love to sip a neat bourbon with you there (when it's done)!

Huskee An Ashton is, in my opinion, a very fine cigar. We like to give them as gifts of appreciation to cigar lovers. Honestly, I might smoke a cigar or two a year. As for the bourbon, I would be honored 🥃😎

klflowers I enjoy the aroma more than the actual smoking but I will indulge when the moment is right. Same with bourbon. My body has signaled to me that I’m not a young man anymore. Gotta be selective.

Maybe think about making an Argentine fogon/parrilla while you are doing the cement/block work.

Ok. I will look that up. We have considered building a pergola. I want a very outdoor summer breeze feel to it. It’all be an extension to the pool but not screened in. A big fan may be in order for the brutal summer.
