    Impressive Grill Scraper!!!

Not sure if anybody has used one of these, but my daughter gave me one this weekend as an early Christmas present. I kinda blew it off as another grill scraper gadget that would go in the junk drawer. Long story short, I decided to give it a go since my daughter gave it to me as a gift so that I could at least tell her I used it. I used it on my rec tec pellet grill that I'd done some ribs with a honey jalapeño glaze. There was a good amount of crust on the grates. I heated the grill to 475, let her heat the grates for about 5 minutes, and then proceeded to break my scrapesation in. All I can say is wow. It did an amazing job. Since I cater bbq, I'm always worried about wires falling out of the brush and getting into the food. No worries with this scraper. I used it again today and it still impresses me. The only downfall I see with this scraper is that it is specific to the grill grate you use on a grill, so if you want to use it on another grill, you have to have identical grill grates or it won't fit. But, you can always buy a second one for the other grill. I give it two thumbs up!

You can find it on amazon or at the original site:

This looks similar to The Great Scrape: http://www.thegreatscrape.com/

They were only 20 at Costco. Got one for grillgrates, and another works for both KJ and weber kettle grates.

Wish there was a Costco in my area. Closest one is three hours away.

I bought the Pampered Chef grill scraper years ago, and it still works great!

I use one similar to this on my KEG. They are made right here in Minnesota. The Great Scrape. It works GRATE!! (sorry, I had to do it) Once you get the groves going its like a custom fit. I picked mine up at Cosco a while back.

I use this to remove BBQ Sauce / Glaze residue from the griddle side of my beloved GrillGrates! -- Ed
