Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one that crap like that happens to. I hope you feel better soon too.

Bad day, park that thing on the ground. The story sounds like some of my luck.

Man I'm sorry to hear (and see) this! Glad you're gonna be ok, buddy. Sheesh. I'm with randy.56, I don't ever put those things up high, now I'll be even more careful to not do so. Ouch!

Ouch!!! I hope you got a tetanus shot too.

I banged my noggin on the corner of a shelf the other day. Little gash, no trip to urgent care or staples, but got sympathy from the family

Yikes. Glad it wasn’t worse. I keep mine in my lower outdoor cabinet. If you decide to go the blowtorch option I would also exercise caution, the infamous Wet Bandits found out the hard way….

Haahaha, that is what I was thinking!

Oh man, that sucks. I hope it heals up quick.

I think we all have some battle scars from BBQ. I actually have a few burn scars on my arms from my torch. I will let it rip in the charcoal, then put it in the pocket in my apron and forget that the tip is super hot! I have learned that lesson a few times!

Ouch! I bet that was scary as head injuries tend to bleed a lot even if not serious.

If I did this, it would be need to know information only in the family because if I told them I might come home one day and find my charcoal grill gone and a new electric Sizzle in its place 😳😁

I just walked over to my BBQ shelf unit and gave it a little shake on one of the side poles. Yep, I probably should move some of that heavy stuff on the top shelf to the bottom shelf. As you found out, 9.8 m/s/s can be unkind.

My worst BBQ injury (so far!) is back when I started. I thought welding gloves were impenetrable and I picked up a grate that had been over direct heat for awhile. At first I felt nothing. Then I felt the worst burning pain ever. In my case, gravity was a good thing and I could let go of the grate!
