My grill covers have held up decently well over the years, especially directly exposed to the Texas climate. My Weber Kettle cover -- an Amazon Basics! -- has lasted four years and my PBC cover (their's) has lasted 3.5 without any issues, other than each becoming a bit stiff over time.
They've now developed some minor tears in them, but nothing larger than an inch square or so.
The Weber I am not overly worried about as that porcelain coating is nearly indestructible; the cover is mainly to keep bird droppings off. The PBC, however, has the tear on the top, so this causes rain to pool up on the lid and I'm starting to get some rust.
What's an effective way to patch these things? Eventually, of course, I will replace them....I just don't feel like spending $60 on covers right now.
