Cain't git much cleaner smoke than this here: we're rollin 300° dang near dome temp, as planned...should make it ~275-ish, upper grate level. All is well...
Back ribs, anxiously awaitin their hot date with some fire, an smoke...
Afore I go any further, I jus gotta tell yall that throughout alla this, as best his family obligations allowed, Rickie was over, helpin me out, an coverin my 6!!! Many Thanks, Brother!!!! Much Appreciated!!!!
He even took a couple snaps o me, fer posterity... brave young man! Please note: Where I was (gently) restin my elbow was ~350°F.!!!!! Do not try this, unless yer purty dang dang used to HOT, an also have excellent health insurance! There, now. Yall got way more than yer RDA of FUGLY, at no cost, whatsoever...
Let's us roll on...

At that point, I got to take my very first, well-earned rest, fer a few minutes...
Natcherly, I gravitated towards my new deck...
I was leanin back, relaxin, fer a few, an decided I might try my hand at doin my best Mudkat impression... took a few tries, but I feel like I come purty close to nailin it, there in th end.
I wasn't totally happy with th first two, also noticed I didn't have my feet far enough splayed out. When I took th third, I decided mebbe that was as close as I might ever approach to bein kewl!
Meanwhile, back at th GOOR...
Come long bout 2 hours, as I reckon it I hadda pop th lid, see what was shakin...
Colour was lookin nice, gittin some pullback...
At 2 hours, also added another, smaller chuck of hickory, visible, in previous pics...
I also rotated th smokin rack 180 °, an more on that, later...

Don't git all riled up, now.. this was immediately after I throwed a fresh chuck of hickory in my firebox...smoke settled down purty fast, with no harmful effects.

I don't mind, at all, brother... JGo37
Truth is, I really wasn't hittin em up fer temps, too much, but fer probe tender...
I used a thermopop to probe, an seem to recall seein ~160°s, iirc.
Purty much never aggravate myself, tryin to temp ribs, specially BBRs...
