So my completely amateur review of Pitts and Spitts 18x30 has been very positive. I love the gas line allowing easy fire start of logs/charcoal. Build is very solid with .25 in metal firebox and high grade stainless steel lid. Water pan is nice with ball joint lever for easy runoff of excess grease and water after cooking. The smoke does come out around the lid which freaked me out a bit. Temp did not seem to fluctuate much despite that leakage. I was told this was done intentionally by manufacturers to prevent creosote build up. Firebox access made it easy to add more wood as needed. The cost was pretty steep at 2200. Hoping this smoker lasts a long time!! Cannot wait until next cook! I had not seen anything else listed for Pitts and Spitts so thought that would be good reason to write up my experience.
