My new cooker a Pitts and Spitts 18 x 30

Greetings Everyone! I have been looking around and finally pulled the trigger on a Pitts and Spitts 18 x 30 smoker for my home. I own multiple drum smokers and wanted to venture into stick burning. This fella has a smaller footprint than usual offset since the firebox is below. Anyone else own one of these pits? Curious about starting a thread for Pitts and Spitts owners. I should receive it Thursday. Considering buying the charcoal basket from the P&S website. I would love to hear other's experiences with these cookers!! Looks very well constructed!! It will be another week or so before I can cook. Headed out of town this weekend. Thanks for reading. Max did a review many years ago, unsure if anyone else owns one. Lol Click image for larger version

I have a couple of their argentine grills built in and they are great.

Congratulations on the new cooker. I have a Shirley Fabrication 24x36 patio model which is a reverse flow stick burner with an offset firebox, so unfortunately no experience with this style of cooker to share. Where does the heat from the firebox enter the cook chamber?
