So, with a GC fixin’ to burn a hole in my pocket, what are some of your favorite cuts from PR?

I gotta vote for pigskit and Denver steak as standouts. The pork ribs are also excellent.

That reminds me. The skirt steak is also yummy.

I would not & didn’t mess with anything other than the beef. Even though the chicken & pork might be very good, git yer the rill good stuff and go fer the primo, beef.

I have bought beef ribs, rib roast, and NY strips from them and thought they were all outstanding. I have not got brisket from PR, but I’m sure it would also be excellent

The beef ribs I’ve gotten from them were about the best I’ve gotten anywhere. I have only gotten beef products there and they’ve all been at least excellent.

The whole bavette is fantastic. And huge, and reasonable. If you like carne asada, fajitas, etc, go for it. Better than skirt, inside or out.

Bob K bavette is the first on my list!

For my latest order, I ended up with a mixed bag of items. Regrettably, the steaks (a ribby and a NY) arrived thawed. They temped fine at 39.5*F, but not frozen. I also grabbed a spare rib rack for next week. But…. It seems I got half a rack? Thoughts?

            Mosca and Troutman Not folded….

Oh, and the steaks were packed fresh. My bad…l thought they were all frozen.

AR discount? I thought it was a one time only? 🤦🏼‍♀️

SheilaAnn - I got some baby backs from PR in January and they were tiny. Delicious, but tiny. Did you get the bavette?

Bob K I did my first round, not this round. I have $92 left and will grab one next time.

I would say folded as well. By the way it’s Porter Road not Ranch. Did you take the AR discount? They will stand by their product if not satisfied.

While I would never turn down one of their ribeyes or NY strips I am a big fan of their flank steak, bavette, skirt steaks, and teres major. The Korean ribs are also great. Whenever I order there are usually a few of those cuts in the box. And I have a beef tongue collecting ice in the freezer I need to cook up one of these days.

Their bacon is some of the best I have had and their ground breakfast sausage was very good. Not a fan of any of the sausages or hot dogs I have had from them though.

The bacon is excellent, the chorizo is excellent. These can be used to bump an order up to free shipping.

The beef tongue is only $18. I think they are about $24 at my local grocery store.

For winter, we love their flat iron steak. Great for either stir fry or a quick sear in a cast iron and perfect size to split for two. taht said, just went off the deep end stocking up for spring weather, Ribeyes, NYs and lots of ribs.

I agree with the folks who focus on beef with them. Our local butchers do a great job with chicken thighs and chops.
