There is some good news. raywjohnson (Ray Johnson) who has been Jim's right hand, has agreed to step up and try to fill Jim's big shoes (he was 6'5"). Many of you know Ray because he built the Pitmaster Club and keeps it running. He is very talented and we were lucky to have him on the team.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of "Big Jim". I have visited a number of times, but rarely interacted with the forums, but I've always been impressed with the quality of his work, his team and all of the Pitmaster Club's members and passions. I hope everything is able to continue as before, as that seems to be a fitting tribute. Now I have to decide whether to have some of the smoked short ribs or smoked Thanksgiving turkey in honor of Jim, though there's no question what it will be washed down with.
