I found Ernest's brother on Facebook and sent him a message a couple of days ago. Haven't heard back yet, but I will report to all if I do.

That's great! Thank you. I pondered trying to find a family member of his or even his wife but I wasn't sure in this world of online scams how well a stranger reaching out claiming they knew him would be taken, so I didn't feel comfortable attempting it.
