Welcome from TN. I do some work for Duke, and I have spent some time in Charlotte. Other than the traffic downtown, great city. Some good food up there too; don't ask me for restaurant names, I just go where the Duke guys take me.

I used to work for Duke here, for a time. There are a number of really good Barbeque places here. My favorite is Mac's Speed Shop: It's a small chain, modeled on a Cycle repair shop (suspended bikes and part overhead), and their 'que is really excellent.
