New here but old everywhere else.

I live in the ruralest of rural areas of northeast Pennsylvania with my wife, our 14-year-old daughter, and our wonderful dog Judy. I am without a doubt far too old to have a teenage daughter but that's the hand I'm playing. My wife works from home for a company based in San Francisco and I have been unofficially retired since our daughter was born and officially retired for the past 6 years.

I am the family cook; my wife is Italian and has all the skills but I truly enjoy cooking. In our garage are a Weber kettle, a PBC, an Ooni oven which I have not used yet (it's still Winter here), and, I admit, a Weber propane grill. I ordered a PK360 a few days ago that will be here sometime this week and I am so much looking forward to it. When I smoke I use the Pit Barrel (lately I've been hating on it though) and the kettle is my grilling grill unless I'm pressed for time, which is not a problem now (bright side!).

So that's it. I have been lurking here for a long time and finally pulled the membership trigger and I'll stretch out the free month before plunking down the hard-earned.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!
