    New guy from Sacramento CA

    Greetings

I just joined the forum the other day and haven't had much time to introduce myself till now.

I currently own a webber and a PBC that both see action 3-4 nights a week even in the winter. I've been using some of the techniques detailed on this sight for some time with nothing but success so I felt I should join to see what else I could pick up.

I look forward to interacting with the members of this site.

Lastly, can someone tell me where to post up a modification I made to my PBC charcoal basket? It's very simple but effective and I'd like to share.

    Thanks.

So, they have winter in Sacramento, interesting. You have two great cookers for a start. Question: do you have a SnS? If not, get one, your world will really fly and you’ll be cooking 5-6 nts a week. Welcome aboard, eat good & have fun! I cook in the winter to, just sayin.
Oh, and there is a rule in these parts, no pics - didn’t happen. Like your moniker by the way.

Yes we have winter here, not as cold as other parts of the country but the rain and wind can get pretty bad. No I do not have a SnS. I've thought about it though.

Welcome GrillSergeantTim .... I was born at Sutter Memorial many moons ago, and grew up in Rocklin when that was a little podunk town of 1500, or so. These days I call the Pacific Northwest home, but still have plenty of family in Sacramento and Northern CA generally.

to find the PBC sub-forum go to Forums > Grills, Smokers, Cookers & Fuels > Charcoal > Pit Barrel Cooker

Lincoln ... whereabouts? Crap man, I grew up over by Sierra College ... but, back then, there was nothing there but Sierra College and some farms. My grandfather lived on Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis ... I know the whole dang area like the back of my hand.

Welcome to the Pit from Baltimore, MD! We're glad you joined us. I grill pretty much year-round here in B'more; the cold doesn't bother me much.
