I hope to hear back from you on your opinions of it once a long smoke is done. So far, have you had any disappointments with the Woodwind? Did you get the sear box? Does it work for both a grill and a smoker well?

It did well for ribs and a center cut pork loin roast and I did reverse seared steaks. The surface of the steaks got pretty dry but I liked the smoke flavor. I did NOT get the sear box because I would not use it that much and I did not want to hang a propane tank on the WW. I did however buy a 1800 watt induction burner and a 10 inch square cast iron pan for searing steaks outside.
