Hello from over the hills in LA! I’ve been really happy with my kettles (first Weber and then SnS) as well as with the variety of accessories available for that style. Go for what you think will be the most fun!

Salutations from Hays, Kansas! I have a bad case of MCS, however, I own my issues. That said I have both a kettle and a Primo XL kamado style cooker. The Primo is rapidly becoming my "go-to" cooker using it quite regularly for everything from burgers, chicken, steaks, etc. to long smoking cooks. Its capacity is less than my Yoder, however, I rarely need to cook more than one brisket at a time for my wife and I and a few friends so that doesn't bother me much. I do like my kettle too, however, I get many of the same advantages of the kettle with the Primo and I find temperature control much easier with the Primo for even short cooks like reverse searing.

Good luck on your search! Plenty here happy to help you spend money for new cookers!!

Welcome. Let us know if you go ahead with getting a kamado. They're great fun to cook on, not necessarily better than a kettle/SnS combo but certainly come with more real estate (because you won't have to use the SnS), which is nice if you select one with a 22 inch or larger grate.
