Howdy from Houston and welcome to The Pit! Not only do we think you should invest in a Kamado, the general consensus around here is that this is the one you should get……🥸

Welcome back from central Texas! I’m a kamado guy. My favorite cooker is a Kamado Joe, Big Joe. There are several different ways to get great bbq. kamado is the one I like best.

Welcome from the foothills of LA. The question has been asked, "what do you want to do with it?" A Kamado is a great smoker and has some limitations. 1) Capacity, 2) Somewhat fragile (if you crack it then it's done), 3) It's a charcoal smoker, 4) Rather expensive. I don't own one for these reasons.

I believe other smokers give you a better bang for your buck. Have you purchased a Vortex for your Weber? If you don't have one, I'd buy one. It will elevate your Weber game.

Welcome to the Pit from Dallas, Texas! Every cooker has it strengths and weaknesses. You can find a work around for the weakness. I have a kamado and other cookers each with their own strength. I would think adding a cooker should be guided by how you will cook most often. Choose a cooker that has that strength.

                          Hey hey from da LBC!

I have a Kamado Joe jr. It was an impulse purchase (less than $150]. I love it, though. Go full size Kamado, you will not be sorry.
