I have the contact info of a smith up by Boone that I bought a hanging plant holder from...I bet he could do the metal parts.... Hmm...

The stone part looks just like the ones we bought at Home Depot to make our fire pit. They don’t even appear to have mortar between them. You and the BF could stack those and have the metal work fabricated to just set right on it. Yes you really could!

I have a ridiculous number of cinder blocks left over from a landscaping project and something like this enters my mind about every six months or so.

I think you could use cinderblocks and then fire bricks if you wanted to avoid fabricating that metal trough. Then you could buy off-the-shelf components like this to round out your creation. https://www.ashandemberoutdoors.com/...hoCAvgQAvD_BwE

She has Craigslist. If she starts picking up free cinder blocks now I'll bet she could have the bulk of the build for the price of loading up the materials and hauling it home by summertime.

One of those hanging metal rods look like a branding iron. What cult originally posted this photo? I’m definitely not attending one of their BBQs. 🙂

It’s not uncommon here to have a branding iron just for looks or to brand a steak with once in a while. Unless being a born and bred Texan is being in a cult.

Oak Smoke I was thinking more along the lines of the NXIVM cult famous for branding members.

If you are serious SheilaAnn, you might consider a Breeo smokeless fire pit with some of their cooking accessories, together with a rotisserie from Ash & Ember.

On the other hand, the rectangular pit has other possibilities. In Washington state human composting is now legal, as well as cremation. You could launch multiple enterprises. MCS. Multiple Catastrophic Scenarios.

I attended a show years ago for a comedian who did phone gags he taped and played some during the show. He called a funeral home who had a large trailer cooker they lent out to the community for big events. He called asking about cremation and then after saying he didn’t have the money tried to talk them into lending him their cooker, Funny as git out.

Thankfully she would never actually follow through! She’s too sweet and not actually the vengeful type, just likes to talk big occasionally.

I’m sitting on my deck right now in shorts and a t-shirt trying to figure out where I could put something like this. It’s 43° out. 😆
