This is awesome....and I know a bit how you felt. My wife did something similar to surprise me with my Grilla Grills Chimp.

Nice! Yep... I knew I had to get the mulch. There was no way out of it, but I sure tried my fair share of excuses. 😂

First cook- Jalapeño hash browns, bacon and smash burgers. And yes, saved just enough bacon to top the burgers.

        Mmmmm. That all looks GREAT!

Tell me more about jalapeno hash browns? Do you dice up fresh jalapenos with the potatoes? We always have the pickled slices in the fridge, so I rarely get the fresh ones...

jfmorris I like to throw in sweet pepper when I make hash browns but I ran out. But found a monster size jalapeño in the draw so I substituted it into the recipe. Good potatoes with a bit of kick.

What a wonderful, thoughtful wife you have, DTro . That great Father's Day gift will have you thinking of her and of your dear brother-in-law every time you cook on it on that deck that he helped you build.

Enjoy, too, the love that your family surrounds you with, through good times, tough times, and sad times.
