That little triangular grease cup looks like a recipe for trouble. I mean, throw 4-6 burgers or a bunch of bacon on there, and that's gonna work? Dunno.

I was just curious, so to the gargle I went.
Blackstone Products Inc, initially called Outdoor Griddles, are designed and engineered in Logan, Utah. Wait for it! Wait.
        Manufactured in China.
Now I do not feel soo bad about buying my gasser (a Victory), $599 w/Roti and a ceramic coated 36 griddle, (also a Victory), $325, also mfg in China.
I cooked appx 125 snausages, metts, dogs n Johnsonvilles in under an hour Opening Day. Dogs n Hot Metts were done after the beer brats n metts were fini. Something I have been doing as long as I can remember. Usually takes all morning on the gasser. I will be doing many more meals on this bad boy! Pics to follow, or preceed. Still have not got that part worked out on the laptop.

I’m going to ask a question posed in an earlier post. Have you considered the 22 inch table top Blackstone? I have one of the older small Blackstones and love it. It is what I used to adapt my Chud press to. The new 22 inch is a two burner rig that should work great. I bought the hose to adapt mine to a 20 pound propane cylinder. It adds the option of easy portability. As I noted earlier I found one of these on line for $109.00.

This is in the running although I would like to go bigger if I decide to get one.. Bigger is better - right?

RonB this is exactly my findings on using a flat top. I can have ONE thing to clean, or a dozen, plus a huge mess on the stove top and counter. Nothing beats a big flat top for stir fries. While I love my carbon steel wok, it's no substitute for the big Camp Chef griddle if I want to do hibachi style for more than 2.

I know you said the patio was full, but maybe you could try a plancha for your 22" kettle? I don't think it will be nearly as quick and convenient as a gas powered griddle, but it would work on the cookers you've got, and you just need to find a spot on the wall of your garage or somewhere to hang it on a nail when not in use...

I will throw out there that if you do buy a flat top, just go with the flow, and get a Blackstone 28 or 36. I've got the Camp Chef FTG900 and while I love its huge size and 6 burners for temp control and multi-zone cooking, what I do not love is that I just paid $200 to get an aftermarket hard top to cover the griddle - something many other griddles come with. That said, with the lion's share of the market, Blackstone models have the largest assortment of accessories, both from Blackstone and from 3rd parties.

It looks like Camp Chef has finally wised up to this, and the new FTG600 models (4 burner) ship with a hinged lid.

When I was griddle shopping I really wanted that 46” camp chef, but then I found a killer deal on a 36” Blackstone. I got the all stainless (now out of production) model for less than the base 36” model.

It’s so easy to make - I have a batch fermenting now. All you need is to ferment for about 4-6 weeks. slice up some cabbage, pickling salt and either juniper berries or caraway seeds and you are set! I’m happy to send the recipe I use if interested.
