RichieB What kind of flat top tools did you get? Just curious. I started with a cheap Blackstone set from Walmart and still use the bottles and bench scraper for cleanup, but you really need a good spatula with a beveled edge when it’s time to do those famous smash burgers….

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.

RichieB you will need at least 2 squirt bottles - one for cooking oil, one for water. You will use a lot of water during cleanup. I also buy a big thing of dish rags/bar mops at Sam's Club and use those rags during cleaning of the griddle. The Terry cloth does a good job with tongs and water to steam food debris off at the end of a cook.

I’m curious too about those whole thread. This is what I would prefer over my Steelemade as I have a newer genesis.
My Steelmade griddle came with a spatula set and cheap plastic bottles. Having never used any spatulas other than silicone coated ones for our non stick pans I really don’t know much about the difference between them. I might upgrade the bottles though. They seem very flimsy.

radiodome21 , I upgraded my bottles to these OXO ones. They're perfect for my needs with the Steelmade. I like the way the cap is designed. It stays on. No more chasing around the kitchen floor looking for that itty bitty cap that came with the squeeze bottle and discovering (don't ask) that the dog ate it.

Weber Kettle with an SNS
Masterbuilt kettle that I call the $30 wonder grill
Bullet by Bull Grills gasser
Anova WiFi sous vide machine
Thermoworks Thermapen and Chef Alarm
My dad just ordered one of these as well - I don’t know what model of Weber gasser he has, but it’s a 3 or 4 burner and fits completely within using all burners. It arrives tomorrow for him and he’s excited to have it!
These have me looking to see if Bull Grills makes one for their gassers. I haven’t seen one yet, but also haven’t dug in to find one. Would be nice to have this to keep the patio as is.
excited to hear how your cooks go on this!

The griddle is a pleasure to use and it's seasoned well. However, I see Weber has a seasoning for griddles for a mere $25. It's Grapeseed, Canola and Beeswax. I have a Crisbee Puck which is Soybean, Palm and Beeswax. Crisbee doesn't mention anything except cast iron use. I would think it would work just as well on carbon steel. Has anyone ever used it on your carbon steel? Any thoughts? Thanks.
