So I decided a month or so ago that my 22 inch kettle wasn't big enough and I wanted a 26. My rationalization was that with the 26 I could get rid of the 22 inch kettle and be fine. In my brain I was even thinking that the 26 would also make the 22 inch WSM not needed anymore since I feel like I can cook anything on the 26 inch kettle that I can on the WSM since I hardly ever use the second shelf. Problem is I love the WSM and don't want to get rid of it. So I am thinking that I might want an original PK grill.Thinking that even though I would lose space I would still have the WSM for smoking but have the PK for all my direct grilling needs. Since the PK and the 26 inch Weber are relatively close in price that is a wash. Anybody have thoughts one way or the other??? And as much as I would love to have them all I can't. I have reached my maximum number of cookers and had to get rid of one to even consider this purchase and will have to get rid of another to actually go through with this one. Please help me decide!!!!!!!!!

22" Weber Kettle w/SNS, 18" WSM, Bronco, Grilla Chimp, Traeger Tailgater, UDS, Camp Chef Tahoe Stove.
Noooooooooo!!! Stack them on top of each other if necessary. Hide it in a neighbors yard. Keep them all!!! As soon as you get rid of one, you'll run into a situation where you end up saying I shoulda kept that. Then you will be tempted to get it again off Craigslist or something. It is a vicious cycle; don't start down that road...

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I think that a 26" kettle AND a 22" WSM will handle most cooking needs you will encounter. The PK is nice, but if you thought your 22" kettle was small - the PK is smaller. If space was your reason for getting the 26" kettle, don't deviate now and get another grill that has no more space (actually less) than your 22" kettle.
I advise you to keep the WSM, as there are often times I find myself needing to both grill and smoke to complete a meal. You won't be able to do that with just one cooker, but with the WSM and the 26" kettle, you will be set.

Seriously, though, if you can keep the 22 and the wsm and add a 26, you will be covered. Until MCS hits again and you decide to get the new Weber Smoke. Or a gasser. Here is an idea - just move to where you have more room - I am ASSuming the reason you are at your limit is limited space...

Nope. Have plenty of room. Number of cookers is dictated by SWMBO. Since I am also trying to get a bigger Blackstone and build a permanent firepit for my dutch oven cooking I can't push things too much at this point anyway.

castironchris in that case all bets are off. Happy new year and good luck.

Current line-up of cookers: Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro, Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, Blackstone ProSeries 4 Burner 36" griddle, Weber Performer Deluxe and Weber Smokey Joe.
I completely agree with klflowers and jfmorris on this. But in the event that the number of cookers is being imposed by a SO, offering up the 22" kettle as a sacrifice just might be what it takes for them to keep an open mind when you discover the next cooker you never realized you need.
I'm down to a 26" and Ranch kettle at this time, and those two give me all the grill estate I need. For now.Last edited by Steve R.; December 31, 2019, 05:42 PM.

Sit on the idea. No rush to buy right now is there? No. Not really.
Then you can think about it. Evaluate your actual needs. Read Max’s reviews. Go read or ask questions in cooker specific sub forums.
WARNING: this is exactly how I ended up applying for a credit card with 0% APR for 21 months then saying "yea, I can do $100 a month for the next 15-20 months" and ending up with a Primo XL with custom table I designed and built. I started out looking at a Camp Chef pallet. But then since I was gonna 0% finance it, why not double the budget and get the Rec-Tec? But then $300 more and I got a Yoder! But then I visited a friend who has a BGE. So now $1300 gets me a primo? Well ok. Not paying for it all at once anyway. Now add a couple hundred for table building materials. And I need primo accessories like the heat plates and firebox divider and stuff.
Next thing you know I had gone from $500 to $2100. THANKS MAX! But no thanks Max. I’m sure I would have liked the pellet grill but the Kamado is my friend. We hang out having beers all the time.Last edited by SmokeyGator; January 4, 2020, 03:19 PM.

I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
FireBoard 2 Pro
Anova Precision Cooker
Is that dijon mustard?
Are you...
Are you seeing another grill?
