Replacement parts for old school kettles?

My old 18" kettle has triple vents like this one. They are old and difficult to operate. Is there anywhere to purchase replacements?

Hint: iirc, ya gotta drill out th original rivets, then use th nuts/bolts that come with th replacements...

        Soooo....

If yer vents, themselves, are not damaged, jus hard to rotate, etc, from years of rust/ash/corrosion....

        Do yerself a favour...

drill em out, like ya'd already haveta, an jus go to th hardware store, git ya some nut's/bolts/washers/etc, as ya calculate will replace th rivet, without mutilatin yer kettle, an keep th 'cha-ching' fer th new vent covers in yer trou, to be utilized towards some other endeavour...

        Leastwise, that's where I'd start...
        LMK how th Surgery goes...

I'll try that first for sure. I was already thinking along those lines.

When I have gone to get a replacement part from Weber they want the Serial No. from the lid. It is usually stamped on the top vent. They will also ask you what year as I recall but it has been a while.

Yup, they do ask ya that...

This here kettle hails from well before th inception of kettles havin a serial no., which only started in 2013...
Based upon th stock pic Attjack used from WKC, his is C. ~1975~ish, or slightly later, best I can reckon...

Reckon ya could always first try squirtin em all down with some WD-40, or better yet, Kroil, an patiently work em back an forth; it will take some repetition, yep, but ya might not haveta do surgery, at all......

I get some grill cleaner from Lowe's and that helps free mine up. If its only grease but if they are bent you'll need new ones.

Here is the one I found on the Weber site. You will just have to check if it fits your grill.

        Regards.

Just looked and the dampers on my EO code 22" three wheeler (1995) are bolted on. Well, were bolted on, two of 'em appear to be held on by habit. So depending on when Weber switched from the rivets to bolts it could just involve a trip to the hardware store. And probably cutting the nuts off, if it's anything like the shape mine's in.

That's kinda what I thought, as I never recalled seeing anything but rivets on the three wheelers.

My apologies, fer hastenin yer chronological progression through this life, Brother!

            Gotta start somewhere, I reckon...

Mr. Bones Now I'm not sure if someone drilled these out or not. I got all inspired like, so I cut the nuts off so I could clean the dampers (which are the original EO coded ones), and it looks like those center holes are factory.

Ain't got everything cleaned up yet, but it looks like the enamel is on the inside of that center hole, doesn't look drilled out at all. So possibly by '95 they were using bolts for the three wheelers.

Hmmm, I do believe that ya either have th Right of it, or that my 68's vents have been replaced...

Upon direct scrutiny, with my trusty XL50 MagLite, I can certainly see slot-headed screwdriver slots, inexplicably on th inside of my beloved "Maureen..."('68 Redhead Kettle)

Since I'm rather old, an very much tired, hope it's okay if I jus sit corrected, at th moment...I'll willingly stand up / ambulate, fer a good cause, but feelin right about comfy~ish, jus bout now~

Yessir, my initial XL50 was a work issue deal, basic maglite, after xxx decades with th original MagLite

Liked th XL50 so much, I went outta pocket, got me some personal ones, an couldn't be happier...
              Yeah, yeah, I know...old news...
they've done since (years ago) come out with ones that have a dimmer, based on how ya rotate yer hand, an all other kinda such meadow muffins, an that's jus fine, if th buyer desires that, an is willin to pay th Premium...
I'm still good with th XL50's
