          The 26" is a mean beef-smokin' machine!

Yea that is big mean smoking machine. Be careful it can over heat by getting to hot or under cook by getting to cool. Just it's size takes time and practice to produce quality Que. I am in the point in my life where I use the things on my grills that help me make the best Q possible. So I have a TheraPro 72 that measures the meat and grill temp, thinking of buying the ThemoPro Smoke. I just bought the DigiQ to maintain temp in my Weber. Already have a Smokenator, thinking about going to an SnS.

Well good smoking and enjoy that 26. I had one at one teme and put out a lot of meat on it.

I decided a while back for my own preferences to move on from pellet grills. The only problem was capacity concerns. Plus, it's hard to imagine just how much bigger a 26" kettle is versus a 22" (which I already have). Any higher end BBQ dealers or even big box stores don't have them on display around these parts. A couple places have the WSCGC on display and that is a beautiful cooker, but he prices is RIDICULOUS!. I could have went that route, but that price point is something I couldn't justify just based off principle. Even if I hit the proverbial lotto, I would not pay that. So one of the things that helped me was Huskee posted a side by side of his 22 and 26 that really demonstrated the huge difference.

Running both the 26 and the 22 with a fan/Fireboard, I can't imagine where capacity will ever be an issue.

                  As hopefully a helpful perspective:

                  6 bones on the 22"...

When I bought my 22 I already had the 26. I thought I needed the smaller one for smaller cooks. It's nice and all, but I wish I would have bought a 2nd 26. One of these days I will gift the 22 to one of the kids and buy a 2nd 26 or an Assassin 48.

Craigar I still imagine I'll use the 22" much more often as it's primarily just the wife and I. Besides, my 22" is a Performer. The cart is very handy.

That’s the exact combo I have, 26”, pit viper and FireBoard. It’s a cooking beast!!!

And smaller ones. I almost use my 26 exclusively just for my wife and I. This is how it usually starts out: wife: let's have chicken breasts. Me: ok. Her: Oh, and can we also cook some asparagus/green beans/corn of the cob? Me: sure. Her: Oh, and how abut some taters and onions? Me: Sure thing, let me fire up Bertha as Lil' Red isn't big enough.

Same thing here. I'm amazed how often dinner for 4 will fill the 26 to the max.
