I'm assuming you detach the fan when not in use? If you can just leave it in then ignore the following! I'm trying to understand how the Viper actually attaches to the adapter and then removal after each cook.
I get the concept of one time initially drilling the hole and screwing in the adapter. Its the next step I'm vague on. When you decide to do a cook and you want to hook up the Viper how does it attach? With the Billows I have seen a video on two springs going through the hole and holding the fan on. With the Fireboard they have a rail system with a thumbscrew. For the Viper it looks like you slide it into the tube on the adapter? If so, do you screw it in or is it friction fit? Link to a video appreciated.
Burntfood Its a friction fit as you say. I do just leave them in full time. There is a silicone cap that comes with the adaptor to plug it if you don't want to leave the fan attached full time.
