I didn't know about Stok - just came across one at a good price. It comes stock with a grate system and seems to be a 1:1 comparison with Lucille (my redhead 22.5").
Good or bad I'm surprised the Stok kettle has only been mentioned ~ 2 times over the years, and that's because maybe the grates between a Stok and Weber are interchangeable. Maybe the inserts too??
Any opinions from the PIT! Thanks folks!!

I always say, "One cannot have too many grills." For a C - Note...Give it a shot...But for another $50 you can get another brand new Weber real deal.....Hmmm...Monte Hall comes to mind...
I've got one of the Red Limited's for the buck and a half. Thing is - I have the SnS, the grate system, the vortex, the inserts, a hover grill = TIRED of setting it up all the time. Rather have more = MCS. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!
They are a Tech co. that manufactures practically half of everything under the sun, I think De Walt, Milwaukee tools, Malaysian or Chinese mfg with a couple of Merican or Euro Honchos. They seem to make some decent gassers. Don’t know how serious they are about the charcoal end of things. Target sells em around here cuz my neighbor bought one. They look OK, hate the orange color.
For probes, I put a grommet in just under the lower handle which is just above the grate inside. I got a round fire pit cover for it so I can leave the shelves on all the time. THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT!
Actually jgreen I'm worried about the CI grate in the Stok. That'll combine convection heat with maybe more conduction heat than I want. I was thinking I'd put a Weber stainless racetrack grate in the Stok.
I think the Stok should have a stainless racetrack with that great center CI sear rack it already has.
