I fixed the ss grate for my kettle.

Anyone trying the Cold Grate technique with the typical grate knows that the grate hangs on the supports and doesn't spin. Tonight I took my angle grinder and ground off the parts of the handle that caused the grate to hang. Now it does spine easy.

I'll try to remember to take photos tomorrow when it's light. Not much to it though - I just ground off the parts of the handle that hung below the grate. I ground at an angle to keep as much of the weld as possible. If you look how the handle hangs on the support, you will see how to grind.

It needs to be ground at an angle so that you don't grind the weld off.
