I love my Smoky Joe but I wanted a supersized one to fit the SnS that I bought to fit the Duchess, which is going to be raffled off in November. Put together the Jumbo Joe and I am so impressed with just everything about it. I think I'll burn it in tonight. The only thing I'll miss about the SJ is the slick carrying case. The Jumbo doesn't really need it with the wire that secures everything together across the top.
Planning on passing on 4 maybe 5 grills at the Arkansas Diamond Cup raffle in November. Sold a Grilla. I've been afraid to get a CCC (current cooker count).
I love my Jumbo Joe. We use to carry our Smoky Joe with us to the beach and really liked it. It worked for my wife and I. Before we went on vacation to the Outer Banks last year, I purchased the Jumbo Joe since it was going to be most of our kids, (2) son-in-laws and the grandkids. Total of eleven people. Cranked out a ton of hamburgers and hotdogs right there on the beach. One of the best purchases I've made in the bbq realm.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

The Jumbo Joe is a fantastic cooker! It's our camping & beach star. I rarely use my SJ anymore. If you haven't already, get yourself a stainless steel hinged 18.5" grate for it, highly recommended. ABC's SnS Jumbo Joe Charcoal Basket is a great add-on as well.
For my vacation to the beach this year, I brought the Jumbo Joe and my Smoky Joe Smoker conversion. It was the best of both worlds and not a lot of space in the car. I just use a Weber Charcoal basket and it works fine for indirect in the Jumbo.
Can't beat the combination of a Jumbo Joe and a Q 200/2200 for grilling on the go. The Jumbo Joe is a fine smoker like other Weber kettles and I use it when I'm smoking a small meal to conserve charcoal. If you have a choice between the Smokey Joe or the Jumbo I say get the Jumbo. Weber really needs to design a case for it already.

CandySueQ, the upper grid is one of the grates from my 14.5 WSM. It has handles so I inverted it for 2 levels of cooking. The meat that was sitting below the chicken was reverse-seared before being served, thus effectively dealing with any potentially harmful chicken drippings.
