Pulling the Trigger on a Weber 22"

I was surprised to see this 'Limited Edition' on Home Depot for $ 149 / free next day shipping. & it comes with the hinged cooking grate. I've been stewing over which 22" to buy, all the way up to the performer with ignition, but this made it a no-brainer for now at almost $ 100 under Lowe's after shipping. I've now got multiple plans for the 4th: lunch on my old square dog 24", dinner on the new kettle. I used the savings to get all the accessories and a cover. I'll use my next allowance for the SNS 2.0.

    P.S.: There's a 60's vintage red Weber Kettle on CL here for $ 275. I think I did better...

I picked one up for $149 late fall last year. I saw it as low as $99 over the winter. But $149 is still a great price, so I have no regrets!

I’ll have one of these at some point this year looking to take my cheap wonder kettle to the Lake and replace it with the WEBER.

Keep it for the dogs and fish - you can never have too many ways to fire up!

I can't sleep waiting for it to come in... I already got the ribs and chicken (the very first fire will 2-zone a spatchcock).

The early models had some paint problems and probably stopped selling very well. I think that is why you still see good deals on the red ones. I have looked at them in the store and not noticed any paint flaws. Enjoy.
