    Would this Weber clean up?

It's only $50 but if I couldn't get the grime off the handles it would probably bother me.

Go for it. There's $50 worth of parts there at least. There's something out there that will clean that plastic, you can always paint over it if necessary.

Bartenders helper. That stuff cleans up almost anything.

Or is it Barkeepers helper. Same thing.

I bought a 26 and really like it. Then I bought a Jumbo Joe for smaller cooks, but don't love it. Good for portability, but I'm tired of ash all over the place and the cheaper build. So I've been looking for a 22. So maybe this is the one. Price is right.

The ash with the Jumbo Joe is annoying. Because I keep mine in the garage I can move it to the edge of the garage and cook with charcoal all winter long. Now that we are finally starting to get some decent weather I'll be using the Performer and the 26.

Kinda off the subject but I was looking at building a mini wsm and saw where someone had solved the ash problem with the bottom vent by taking a can and poking holes in it, then inverting it over the vent. I did this in my Jumbo because I was always worried about the ash coming out the bottom and getting blown all over. Works pretty good.

I'll have to make that happen. Thanks for the idea!

Worst case scenario is that you will have to buy new handles, and there is a link somewhere here for custom wood handles.

Well I got the old "when can you pick it up" then " it's been sold" treatment. Oh well.
