    Another Rescue Smokey Joe...

CL $ 15 Smokey Joe Gold!

    Yeah, I know...
    I got it BAD!

But, in my own dang defense, (as all addicts rationalize their behaviour, btw ),
She's a different one than all my other three, bein an SJG...
Watched on CL, fer ~ a month, figgerin somebody would adopt this one.
Decided I wanted to see how these cooked, beins their lower vents are completely different from my beloved SJS's...

"M" vent code (1990), very cherry, inside, an out...
$15 CL, no stale charcoal, this time, or, thankfully, any lighter fluid!

Thanks Brother! Kinda uncommon lil cooker, wanna see how it cooks with th side vents.
I have heard some negative, but wanna see if I can do some (successful) cooks on it.
It should be big fun, hopefully good food!

Mr. Bones Yeah I never bought that particular model because of the strange side vents, they made me nervous, but Jerod Broussard has one and I don't remember him complaining so I suppose it operates just fine. Must , else they'd have changed it long ago.

      Thanks Huskee !
Those vents make me kinda nervous too lol...Gotta try, though.
Glad to hear Jerod's lack of a review, he'd a done said summat, by now.

In both of our defenses, this SJG has a vent code "M", indicatin 1990 manufacture.
        Very Clean $15 CL.
        Needs a charcoal grate.
Hmmmm, lemme think; do I have any Weber parts, lurkin about?

I don't think there is a shot for what you have, but maybe if you had a couple o' shots of your favorite, it might help - or not...

RonB Yer advice is totally sound, an well taken...same as I thought.
Funny ya should jus happen to mention that, because that's where my internal assessment and guidance systems have led me, doing initial descent burns, before later docking with Pillow.
            Rest Well, my friend!

$15 for that little guy is a good deal. That lid-holder that doubles as a handle is a nice feature and is one I've used quite a bit with my Jumbo Joe. That feature makes it much more portable.

Been trolling CL myself. Saw a 22” Performer, been cooked in like 3 times, and the guy wants $60!! I couldn’t dial the number fast enough, screwed up and had to dial again. Like when you have to be 10th caller on the radio show, I’m actually nervous. Turns out I was second caller, first guy was already on the way. In desperation I offer him $100, no go. Heartbroken...missed the gold ring ...

Enjoy your Jumbo Joe Mr. Bones while I continue my quest !!!
