It just dawned on me that I may be taking something for granted, which I need to share with others.
I've got a Weber Performer Deluxe, with the built in propane charcoal starter. If you have one of these, you know that it is designed to let you use a disposable propane camping bottle to start the fire. What you may NOT know is that the Weber Q adapter hose for a 20lb propane tank works just dandy with the Performer as well.
This is the hose I've been using all along with my Weber Performer Deluxe:

I already had several propane tanks, for powering gas grills and a couple of outdoor burners (Bayou Classic), so throwing a propane cylinder next to the Performer was no big deal. And its so much more convenient than chasing after the little 1# bottles too. I used one of those just because I had them in my camping gear, and even used up a couple of butane bottles left over from a broken torch I had in my toolbox, but the hose and 20# tank are much more convenient.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming....
