I wanted a tight fit on a drip pan for my 26 so I ordered this 22" $15 pizza pan.
It is a perfect fit. But I still need to cut it, and bend it to create a lip.
Currently I buy disposable rectangular pans and cover them in tin foil. Once in awhile I toss them when they get bent out of shape or greasy. At $15 I should eventually save money and get a better performing drip pan.
Costcow has those half size steam pans by the stack. If I start dragging any more greasy sooty stuff into MLWs kitchen I'm going to need Santa to bring me a space heater for my tent!
I do see what your doing Attjack I just do it with foil and those pans.

I'll still put foil over the drip pan which is easier than putting foil on the grate as I do now. Plus I won't have to foil the rectangular pan too. So I'll save a step and save money on the disposable rectangular pans over time. I should get a nice tight fit that will help with airflow as well.
I don't mind refoiling the disposable pan, or the cost of occasionally replacing them. But when I get drippings on the foil I put on the charcoal grate I find it a little bit of a hassle to change that foil. I also like the aesthetic this will achieve.
Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
That is a nice fit for sure, good idea. I know what you mean about foiling being a pain, I have been foiling the water pan in the Bandera for easy cleaning that's not so easy to cover.
I have only used my kettle a handful of times, and my s-n-s twice. Sostill learning as much as possible and I’m trying to understand the hope of airflow improvement. Does the drip pan force the air to the s-n-s and then across through to the vent, and end result of stable temps?
Yeah I bent up the cut edge slightly to match the pan. I think it should keep the drippings in place. Looking forward to testing it out. I'll have to do a pork shoulder soon.
I made this a couple of years ago for my 22†Weber. I joined a couple pieces of scrap 2x lumber together then traced my charcoal grate on it and cut it out so it would fit beside my SnS.
When I want a drip pan I pull off a piece of wide heavy duty foil and form it around the wood then I remove the wood and ALAKAZAM I have a disposable drip pan.
